GENERAL MANAGER – OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Lead Efficiency, Innovation, and Performance Transformation in a Leading FMCG Group
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven leader to champion Operational Excellence across a diversified FMCG and food processing group. This pivotal role will drive productivity, process optimization, and a culture of continuous improvement to deliver measurable cost efficiencies and sustainable performance transformation across all business units.
📍 Location: Colombo (minimum 3 days per week at the factory)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of the organization’s Operational Excellence strategy across manufacturing and support functions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Industrial Engineering principles.
- Optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency through data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate Industry 4.0, automation, and digital tools to elevate process visibility and performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between operations, finance, and business strategy.
- Build a culture of performance excellence, capability development, and innovation throughout the organization.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
(A Master’s Degree or MBA will be an added advantage.) - 12+ years of progressive experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or manufacturing transformation within FMCG, dairy, or food processing sectors.
- Proven expertise in LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Work Study, Work Measurement, and Industrial Engineering.
- Experience developing flexible operating models responsive to macroeconomic and business dynamics.
- Strong exposure to Industry 4.0, automation, digital transformation, and data analytics for performance optimization.
